The EU announced the imposition of import duties on Chinese-made glass fiber

According to "The Wall Street Journal" news, the European Commission on Thursday announced the imposition of 43.6% of China's imports of glass fiber high tariffs. Glass fiber is an important material used in clean energy technology.

The European Glass Fiber Producers Association, which represents the interests of PPG Industries Inc. (PPG), Owens Corning (OC) and other company subsidiaries, has asked this year to impose tariffs on imported Chinese glass fibers. The association sues that China's glass fiber manufacturing enterprises sell products in Europe at an unfairly low price.

The tariff will last for several months, and the European Commission will decide whether to approve the tax rate for five years.
